New construction or remodel, there's never a second chance to make a first impression. If we can't capture prospects from the outside...the inside will never be looked at! With the perfect color, paint always makes the biggest impact. Sherwin Williams Egret White 7570 matched with a stain color such as Minwax Jacobean makes for a perfect exterior color combo! Keep it clean and simple.
With a remodel, remember to keep an open mind! A house with good bones, can become a beautiful home with a good color scheme by mixing materials and textures.
White cabinets, in a shaker door style, matched with a light countertop against walls and wood tone island is a eye catcher! The kitchen is completed with a white 3x6 subway tile with dark grout to accent the herringbone pattern. Across from the oven, a designated space for entertaining pulls the natural wood into floating shelves over additional cabinet space.
Barn Doors are a SWAG favorite! This design detail is a great addition to add privacy and texture to any playroom, hallway, mudroom, bathroom, or home office as shown in the picture below.
This home has the charm, that so many remodels have, including built in book shelves on either side of the fireplace! In addition to the bookshelves, utilizing the original brick fireplace surround was accent with paint.
Finally, the kitchen and bathroom are tied together with 3x6 subway tile on the shower walls. One of my favorite design details, in the home, is the gray and white hexagon floor tile below the marble countertops and topped with bead board walls. This bathroom completes this southern bungalow.
